Project and Construction Management

Wink Engineering has developed “Best in Class” project management practices, which we employ on a routine basis. Our experienced project managers are responsible for overall project management and work on behalf of the Client to control the scope of the project and execute the project with minimal change. Typical project management responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Project Scope Development
  • Develop project plan/schedule
  • Multi-discipline Project Teams develop design packages for subcontracting
  • Project Reporting: Weekly/Bi-weekly/Monthly
  • Maintain Project Controls activities including schedule, RFI list, action item register and project documentation.
  • Design packages, coupled with specifications and contract requirements are used to solicit bids for fabrication and construction
  • Support Client as requested in solicitation of bids, evaluation, contractor and supplier selection, and contracting process
  • Support Client as requested in the procurement of goods and materials
  • Field coordination of contractor activity

Benefits are consistent reporting to management, tracking project costs against the approved budget and forecasting potential scope growth items. Development of the overall project goals and objectives are critical to the success of any project. The project goals will be formalized, approved by Client and communicated to all project team members. Coordination of all aspects of project engineering, procurement and design resides with the Project Manager. Quality assurance and quality control procedures will be issued to ensure consistency throughout project execution.

Wink provides construction management / construction liaison services. The level of services required by our clients’ range from full-time, on-site construction management of major capital projects, with review and approval of construction contractor invoices; to observation and liaison with the client/owner to ensure construction compliance with engineering drawings and client expectations. Periodic construction observation / liaison includes hands-on field experience, bidding and procurement support, scheduling and construction consultation.
